It is generally believed that the degradation efficiency of high temperature bacteria on organic matter is higher than that of medium temperature bacteria. In the early stage of composting, the temperature of the compost is generally close to the ambient temperature. After 1-2 days of medium temperature bacteria, the composting temperature can reach the ideal temperature of 50-65 ℃ for high-temperature bacteria After 5-6 days of composting, the harmless process can be completed.
Therefore, in the process of composting, the temperature of compost should be controlled between 50 ~ 65 ℃, but it is better at 55 ~ 65 ℃, which is not easy to exceed 60 ℃. When the temperature was over 60 ℃, the growth of microorganisms began to be inhibited. Too high temperature will consume excessive organic matter and reduce the quality of compost products.
In order to achieve the effect of killing pathogens, the time for the reactor system and static ventilation stack system to be greater than 55 ℃ must be 3 days. For the compost piles system, the time when the internal temperature of the stack is greater than 55 ℃ is at least 15 days, and it is at least 3 days during the operation. For the windrow compost system, the time when the internal temperature of the piles is greater than 55 ℃ shall be at least 15 days, and the stacking shall be turned over at least 5 times during the operation.
